We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Person to join a well-established builders’ merchant in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sales experience in the construction supply sector who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling incoming sales enquiries and providing product advice
Building strong relationships with trade and retail customers
Preparing quotes, processing orders, and following up to close sales
Proactively contacting customers to generate new business
Supporting the external sales team with leads and account management
Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times
Maintaining accurate sales records and using CRM systems effectively

Requirements:

Proven internal sales experience, ideally within a builders’ merchant or construction supply environment
Strong product knowledge of building materials and related products
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Customer-focused approach with the ability to build lasting relationships
Organised, proactive, and able to work in a busy sales office
IT literate with experience using CRM/order management systems
