Are you a passionate, customer-focused professional with experience in managing key accounts? We’re looking for a Commercial Key Account Manager to join our client’s lively team in Swindon, Wiltshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, delivering exceptional service, and driving sales growth. It’s a role full of potential, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a friendly team.
In this role, you will assist in running the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring smooth trading activities, and providing top-notch support to customers. You’ll represent the company confidently in customer interactions, helping to resolve queries, process orders, and handle any complaints professionally. Acting as the deputy for the Head of Customer Experience, you’ll develop strong, lasting relationships with key clients, conducting regular business reviews and ensuring all actions are followed through. your role will involve liaising with various departments, processing sales and proposals swiftly, and supporting new product onboarding—all while prioritising health and safety.
You’ll be a vital link between customers and the business, helping to identify opportunities for growth and ensuring both customer satisfaction and sales targets are met with enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
Assist in daily department operations to ensure effective trading and exceptional customer support
Act as deputy for the Head of Customer Experience when needed
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers
Organise and record regular business review meetings, ensuring actions are completed timely
Process sales transactions, orders, and proposals efficiently and accurately
Support and manage a portfolio of existing and new clients to identify opportunities and mitigate competition
Liaise via phone, email, and face-to-face to maintain effective customer relationships
Follow protocols for New Product Introduction and onboarding of new clients and products
Apply project management techniques as necessary, utilising company tools
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, reporting hazards promptly
Assist the Sales and Operations teams with data collection and analysis
Collaborate with internal teams to stay ahead of market requirements and trends
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within account management or sales
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
Proactive approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Experience with sales processes, proposals, and project management is desirable
A positive attitude, keen to learn and grow within the business
