Introduction:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role is focused on maximising cash flow and minimising bad debt across a portfolio of international clients spanning multiple regions, including the UK, Asia Pacific, USA, Nigeria, and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written correspondence, ensuring adherence to pre-event payment policies.
Flexibility to work international hours when required, particularly in the lead-up to events, to optimise collections.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer communications within the finance system to support query resolution and potential legal proceedings.
Efficiently manage and resolve account queries to reduce the risk of bad debt.
Respond to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
Travel to other offices and international events as needed to support debt collection and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a finance department, ideally with exposure to international payments.
Experience in the events industry is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of finance systems, particularly Salesforce and FinancialForce.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
