Demand Planner

We are working with a market leading business who are looking to expand their Supply Chain function. They have a very slick process which operates at high volume so they are ideally looking to find someone who has experience of operating with in an FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment.

Demand Planner – The Job:

Develop and maintain accurate, data-driven demand forecasts for products and materials
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, customer demand patterns, and promotional activities to identify drivers of demand
Work with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align forecasts with business plans and ensure a cohesive supply chain strategy
Monitor inventory levels, adjusting forecasts to minimize overstock, stockouts, and potential disruptions
Identify and communicate any potential risks or opportunities that could impact demand plans
Use demand planning software and tools (e.g., Excel) to generate reports, insights, and improve forecasting models
Support and lead initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain and procurement processes
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations

Demand Planner – Person Spec:

Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate analysis into actionable business strategies
Proactive and results-oriented approach to identifying and resolving supply chain challenges
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams
Proven experience in demand planning, ideally within a relevant industry
A degree in supply chain management, business, statistics, or a related field is often preferred
