Accounts Administrator Responsibilities:
Maintain the accounts inbox, responding to incoming queries, actioning tasks from emails and flagging emails to the Finance Manager
Complete daily bank reconciliations, making sure everything balances perfectly
Process purchase invoices, ensuring each invoice is accurate, authorised, and posted promptly
Generate sales invoices and upload them to the customer portal
Manage recurring invoices for services, making sure nothing slips through the net
Support credit control by sending customer statements and confirming payment
Keep customer trackers up to date by recording incoming purchase orders with invoices
Process supplier orders, matching them with goods received and invoices
Schedule supplier payments, ensuring everything is paid on time
Accounts Administrator Skills and Experience:
Finance or administration experience, ideally gained as a Finance Assistant or Finance Administrator
Has a good grasp of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
Ideally possesses an AAT Level 2 qualification
Strong IT skills, confident with Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience with Xero would be the cherry on top of the cake
Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with colleagues and customers at every level
Takes a proactive approach, has sharp attention to detail, and is a true team player
A full driving licence is essential due to the client’s location
