An opportunity has arisen for a Production/ Manufacturing Shift QC Technician within the medical device manufacturing industry, based in the Wallasey area.

Working hours : Monday – Thursday 6am -2pm and 2pm – 10pm

Key Responsibilities of the Production QC Technician:

Perform quality inspections on incoming goods.
Accurately carry out plant operations as directed by batch documentation.
Complete all required documentation (e.g., batch sheets, cleaning records) related to material preparation in the plant or laboratory.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment in the plant and lab areas.
Adhere to high standards of personal safety and remain mindful of actions that could impact the safety of others.
Ensure all quality-related documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Report any quality control issues to the Production and Quality Assurance teams.
Ensure proper segregation of non-conforming items and recommend or implement corrective actions as necessary.
Competently perform calibration, verification, and monitoring of measuring devices used in the laboratory.

Qualifications & Experience:

BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing quality control environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

Ideally experienced in testing packaging, components, raw materials, and blend analysis prior to production, as well as conducting in-line sampling of finished products.

Familiarity with generating Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Conformance.

Highly organized with a meticulous approach to work and strong attention to detail.
