Residential Paralegal – Conveyancing

Annual Salary: £25k – £30k, dependant on experience
Location: Hertfordshire or Essex
Job Type: Full-time

Reed Legal are recruiting for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join their client’s friendly team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in residential conveyancing, capable of managing both sales and purchases from inception to completion.

Day-to-day of the role:

Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms and handling post-completion tasks including registration at HM Land Registry.
Drafting reports on title, agreements, deeds, and contracts.
Liaising with clients, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to ensure smooth transaction processes.
Conducting file opening and closing procedures, including Companies House Registrations and AML checks.
Managing enquiries and sending out draft contract packs.
Scheduling of deeds to mortgage lenders and ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Law Degree or equivalent legal qualification.
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
Thorough understanding of residential conveyancing procedures from inception to completion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with LEAP case management system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a methodical and organised approach to work.
Good understanding of the law, practice, and ethical obligations of working as a paralegal.
