Intelligence Researcher

Location: Near Fareham

Salary: £29,109 – £31,296 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday with flexible office hours

The Criminal Records Office supports UK and international law enforcement by processing criminal records for the purposes of public protection, safeguarding and worldwide community safety.

The Role

They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join them as an Intelligence Researcher, within a national policing unit.

As an Intelligence Researcher you will provide an intelligence and safeguarding function in support of their business areas. You will also co-ordinate intelligence activities undertaken at the organisation with stakeholders including both UK and overseas Law Enforcement Agencies. Provide a wide range of support services within the organisation ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination for the purposes of prevention and detection of crime, and to safeguard vulnerable members of society in the UK and across the world.

Flexible working requests will be considered for this vacancy. The successful applicant must work a minimum of 37 hours, across 5 days. Working hours can be discussed at interview.

Skills and Qualifications

Educated to QCF level 2. Three to five passes to included English and Maths OR work experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant law, criminal investigations and criminal justice process.
Ability to interrogate and analyse a broad range of information systems in order to access risk and create supporting documents.
Proven experience working under pressure, handling complex, confidential and sensitive data and updating records meeting service level agreements.
To be computer Literate with MS Office programmes and be a competent keyboard user working at pace and with accuracy.
