Principal React Engineer – Financial Services – SGI

You will join as a Principal / Lead Frontend Engineer focused on Readt where you will play a key role in delivering a first-class platform to support quantitative research.

You will be responsible for building highly responsive UI components using React and TypeScript, ensuring that the software you produce is high-quality, testable, and scalable.

Working as part of a business-facing team, you will enjoy high visibility and regular interaction with key stakeholders and end users, refining and enhancing our investment and research platform in line with evolving business requirements.

In summary

Strong hands-on React and TypeScript development experience in an enterprise environment and proficiency with React packages, libraries and tools for builds, state management, data visualisation, testing and code quality
Solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals (e.g. scopes, closures, function binding)
Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) and cloud technologies such as AWS AppSync and CloudFront
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, design patterns and modern development workflows
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and communicate ideas effectively, including UX collaboration
Familiarity with financial services or asset management and confidence working in a regulated environment
Comfortable overseeing the full software development lifecycle and taking ownership of delivery
