A global engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Temporary UK Finance Manager to support its finance operations during a period of transition. This role will lead financial reporting, cost control, and compliance, while partnering with operational teams to drive performance and process improvement.

Description
Manage monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Prepare detailed financial statements and management reports
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Oversee cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Monitor cash flow and implement cost-saving initiatives where applicable.
Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Manage and develop the site finance team, fostering continuous improvement
Profile
The successful applicant, should be:
A Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain sectors is preferred
Proven experience with cost accounting, revenue recognition and partnering with non-finance departments
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience implementing financial systems and processes
Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Proven ability to meet deadlines and uphold high ethical standards
Job Offer
Competitive salary in the range of £55000 to £65000 per annum based on level of relevant experience
Fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
