Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior/Technical Paraplanner to join a leading wealth management and financial planning organisation. This firm supports over 10,000 clients and manages in excess of £2 billion in assets, with a strong reputation for excellence and integrity across the UK.

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in supporting high-net-worth (HNW) and complex financial planning cases, working closely with senior advisers and leadership. This hybrid role offers the chance to work remotely with regular access to a modern Liverpool-based office and be part of a dynamic, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct advanced financial analysis, including cash flow modelling, pension planning, estate and tax planning, and investment research

Work on complex planning scenarios involving trusts, intergenerational wealth transfer, and inheritance tax

Produce detailed, accurate, and compliant technical reports tailored to individual client needs

Support and mentor other paraplanners, contributing to their technical development and training

Liaise directly with financial advisers and external providers to ensure exceptional client outcomes

Stay up to date with regulations and market trends, driving continuous improvement across the team

About You

To be considered for this Paraplanner role, you will have:

At least 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning or wealth management environment

Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent); Chartered status or working towards it is advantageous

Proven experience dealing with complex client cases, including pension transfers, tax planning, and estate strategies

Ability to lead, coach, and develop fellow paraplanners

Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a client-first mindset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong knowledge of compliance procedures
