Employee Benefits Consultant (Associate)

You’ll support the delivery of high-quality advice on workplace pensions and employee benefits, including group risk and private medical schemes. Working closely with experienced consultants, you’ll contribute to client presentations, governance, and new business growth, while developing your technical knowledge and progressing towards full professional qualification.

Key responsibilities:

Advise employees on pension and benefits options
Deliver presentations and clear communications to employees and clients
Support consultants in client delivery, business development, and client onboarding
Maintain compliance and keep up to date with technical and regulatory changes
Build strong client relationships and contribute to team success
Prepare documentation, proposals, and support the preparation of tenders
Assist in the development and mentoring of colleagues as needed
Participate in team meetings, sharing best practice and contributing to innovation

Skills and experience required:

Knowledge of pensions and employee benefits
Confident communicator and presenter, both one-to-one and to groups
Organised, proactive, and keen to learn
Progressing towards QCF Level 4 (Diploma in Financial Planning)
Previous experience in a professional or financial services environment is desirable
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
Ability to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively within a team
