Customer Order Management Specialist

Location: Colchester (Office based)

Job Type: Full-time Temporary to Permanent

Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a Customer Order Management Specialist to oversee multiple customer accounts, enhancing customer relationships and driving sales through exceptional service. This role is crucial for managing the end-to-end order process, from entry to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

Serve as the primary contact for designated customers, managing all order-related communications and exceeding customer expectations in responsiveness
Oversee the entire order management process, coordinating across departments to eliminate delays and minimize inventory
Prepare accurate quotations for the distribution network and key accounts, ensuring timely delivery using various software tools
Confirm and acknowledge customer orders within set KPIs and timescales, maintaining transparency about any delays
Ensure precise data entry into the MRP system, adhering to established processes and price verification
Provide all necessary customer documentation, such as order acknowledgments, drawings, and certificates, efficiently and on time.
Address and progress expedite requests by collaborating cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations teams to meet customer expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to deliver world-class customer experiences and a commitment to going the extra mile.
Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, along with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of effectively implementing solutions.
High level of accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks, with meticulous attention to detail
Outstanding customer handling skills and a history of delivering exceptional customer service
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage a busy workload in a high-pressure environment.
Technical understanding of products to assist in accurate and timely order processing
Strong mathematical skills for validating orders and assisting partners with their enquiries
Confident and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
