Facility Coordinator
Annual Salary: £14.00 per hour
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Job Type: Part-time, working 20 hours per week Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 2.00pm, on an ongoing temporary basis
We are currently recruiting for a charitable organisation dedicated to serving the community of Thatcham and its surrounding parishes. They are looking for a Facility Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our charity, ensuring the smooth running of facilities.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, and maintain the minute book.
Manage the booking of facilities, advertise available spaces, and greet potential hirers to maximise bookings.
Issue purchase orders and handle invoicing; maintain up-to-date ledgers for invoicing and expenditure.
Coordinate grounds maintenance and liaise with cleaners according to the schedule of hirers.
Oversee fire safety risk assessments, fire extinguisher testing, and electrical PAT testing as per regulations.
Act as the first point of contact for Health and Safety matters, updating incident logs and organising appropriate actions.
Manage general administration tasks including handling calls, mail, email, IT, and website functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum GCSE Maths & English Grade C/5 or equivalent.
Experience in a forward-facing role with customer care and general secretarial duties.
Familiarity with handling confidential information and financial data.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage a complex workload.
Committed to continuing professional development and flexible to attend meetings/events outside normal business hours.
