The business
We are delighted to be supporting a fast growing practice firm based in Bolton in the recruitment of an Accounts Semi-Senior. The business pride themselves on delivering proactive and entrepreneurial advice that empowers its clients to thrive. Due to growth and expansion, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious Accounts Semi-Senior to join its dynamic team.
Role
Reporting to the client manager you will assist in the preparation of accounts, tax returns, VAT, payroll, and related services for a varied client portfolio. This role also involves supporting junior staff and liaising closely with Client Managers and senior team members.
Duties include:
Preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, and general bookkeeping services for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Preparation of payroll and CIS returns
Preparation of Corporate and Personal Tax returns
Assisting with the review, training, and motivation of junior team members
Working under supervision of a Client Manager to ensure client work is completed accurately and on time
Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations
Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering excellent service
Person
AAT qualified or finalist, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, and other accounting software
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a friendly team environment
Capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
