Reed Accountancy are recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our highly regarded client. This pivotal role offers a dynamic work environment where you will lead payroll operations and projects, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory frameworks. Day-to-day of the role:
Manage and oversee the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual payroll processes for over 5,000 employees.
Ensure internal financial reporting, system developments, and team coordination align with the company’s goals.
Provide exceptional client-centric care, enhancing service delivery across the team.
Conduct routine audits and quality reviews to uphold high standards of compliance and efficiency.
Drive payroll projects, leveraging technology and innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, prioritizing workloads and managing expectations proactively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a payroll team.
Extensive experience with Workday payroll software.
Professional payroll qualifications or demonstrable experience in payroll management.
In-depth knowledge of statutory and legislative payroll regulations, including RTI, maternity/paternity legislations, and more.
Strong understanding of payroll processing technicalities such as P11Ds, P60s, P45s, and salary sacrifices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for process improvements.
Strong commitment to confidentiality and legislative data obligations.
