We are looking for a capable and experienced Chef to join a family-run cafe in Henley from 17th July to 27th July. This Temporary role is ideal for someone who is adept at managing a small kitchen team and can ensure smooth kitchen operations during our peak period. The café is in a busy setting, serving freshly made breakfast items, jacket potatoes, toasties, and salads.

Job Type: Temporary (17th July to 27th July)
Location: Henley
Salary: £17 per hour

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of high-quality, simple meals that cater to the café’s clientele.
Manage kitchen operations efficiently alongside two other kitchen staff members.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the kitchen.
Manage food inventory and kitchen resources effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef, ideally in a café or similar setting.
Must be available to work every day from 17th July to 27th July without interruption.
Food Safety Certification – Level 3 preferred, but Level 2 acceptable.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Good culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: Staff hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although finishing times may vary earlier depending on daily volume and business needs. Cafe is open from 10 AM to 4 PM, kitchen service from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Saturday and Sunday: Staff hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Cafe is open from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, kitchen service from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
