Hotel Maintenance Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Overlooking the Sea
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Join a prestigious seaside hotel as a Hotel Maintenance Manager and play a pivotal role in maintaining the elegance and functionality of their property. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and our high standards are met consistently.

Day-to-day of the role:
Take full accountability for the entire maintenance operation of the hotel, including 122 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, and a comprehensive health club.
Maintain the hotel to the highest standards, ensuring all bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house are in excellent condition.
Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of all equipment and the physical plant.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all operations.
Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are available and cost-effectively managed.
Regularly inspect and maintain all electrical systems, kitchen equipment, fire safety systems, and the building’s interior and exterior.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, ideally within the hotel industry or similar residential properties.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and fire safety standards.
Technical proficiency, with qualifications in plumbing or electrical works preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Experience managing third-party contractors and negotiating competitive quotes.
Proficient in basic maintenance tasks with good organizational and planning skills.
Familiarity with property management systems such as Guestline and health and safety systems like Peninsula.
