Role Responsibilities:
* Risk Framework: Develop and implement a robust risk management framework.
* Risk Culture: Promote and embed an effective risk culture across the organisation.
* Risk Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely risk reporting to regulatory bodies, the Board, and the public, ie ORSA.
* Risk Register: Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring all risks are identified and managed.
* Risk Appetite and Tolerance: Define and monitor the organisation’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.
* Internal Model: Oversee the internal model, ensuring it meets regulatory standards.
* Stress and Scenario Testing: Conduct stress and scenario testing to assess potential risks.
* Emerging Risk: Identify and manage emerging risks.
* Operational Risk: Oversee operational risk management, including the management of outsourcing arrangements.
Skills and Experience:
* Insurance Market Expertise: Extensive experience in risk management within the insurance sector.
* Quantitative and Qualitative Skills: An understanding of both quantitative and qualitative aspects of risk.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in dealing with regulators, C-Suite executives, and other senior stakeholders.
* Leadership and Mentorship: A team player with experience in managing and mentoring individuals, either directly or indirectly.
