Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Salary: £32,000 per annum

About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Support Technician to join a small, dynamic team within a specialist insurance business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working across systems, data, and operations-and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As a key part of the business support function, you’ll play an essential role in keeping things running efficiently. You’ll manage reporting, troubleshoot system issues, support internal training, and help streamline business processes.
About the Team
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 5 who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to both hobbyist and commercial clients in a niche insurance sector. The culture is collaborative, forward-thinking, and values individuals who take initiative and contribute ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Data Analysis
Create and maintain commercial dashboard and MI reports
Conduct ad hoc analysis of premium trends and operational metrics
Ensure data accuracy across systems and documentation
Systems & Technical Support
Resolve system issues and support ongoing workflow improvements
Liaise with system providers to maintain optimal performance
Support Learning & Development across the company
Stakeholder & Office Support
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners
Manage business continuity tasks and office administration
Provide support to the COO as needed on business projects
Compliance & Best Practice
Maintain awareness of FCA requirements and industry standards
Participate in ongoing personal and professional development
Skills & Experience Required
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (Power BI or Tableau a plus)
Experience in a business support, operational, or insurance environment (desirable)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly

Qualifications
Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
A degree in a numerical or data-related field is desirable, but not essential
