Second Line Assurance Officer

A leading, multinational MGA is currently seeking a Second Line Assurance Officer to take responsibility for the risk and compliance monitoring programme, in order to ensure all London operations are compliant and undertaken according to company policies, Lloyd’s Principles, PRA and FCA requirements.
You will also take responsibility for the wider risk and compliance teams, ensuring that regulatory requirements are identified and policies and procedures established. This will include regulatory advice, guidance and providing training to the business.
The role is on a hybrid basis (3 days a week in the office). The salary range is £70,000 – £80,000 (dependent on experience level) + bonus.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Take the lead on developing and delivering the second line assurance plan
Maintaining and developing a robust and effective second line assurance framework
Designing and delivering reports and MI for committees and senior management
Designing and undertaking reviews on a thematic and functional basis to ensure effective application of policies, procedures and internal controls
Periodic testing of key risk controls
Contribute to wider compliance work such as horizon scanning and delivering training
Supporting with sanction screening and sanction related queries
Supporting with maintaining TOBA processes
It is essential for this role that you have a minimum of three years experience gained in the compliance function of an insurance business (commercial or specialty lines).
