We are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and globally recognised insurer.

The successful candidate will assist in managing low value/complexity claims, as well as supporting the senior claims management team to deliver projects and develop initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Handling Professions, Environmental & Mergers and Acquisitions & Specialty Risks Claims.
Managing individual claims with an expected or actual value at or below $100,000 with support from line management, from notification to closure.
Supporting Senior Claims Handlers with relevant tasks, projects or initiatives.
Developing good practice and sharing business and class knowledge within M&A, PEMA and Specialty Risks teams.
Working with colleagues within M&A, PEMA and Specialty Risks teams, to maximise business opportunities and profitability within the department.
Producing presentations and marketing literature as required.
Developing business plans/research documents for the M&A account.

Key Requirements

Must be of graduate calibre.
Ideally, candidates will have up to two years of Claims Handling experience. However, individuals with a Law Degree or similar, with an interest in working in insurance, will also be considered.
Strong analytical skills in problem solving, analysis of financial statements, financial assessments of claims and data analysis.
Good time and workload management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including Client and Broker management.
Functional knowledge and understanding of the claims management process, US/RoW insurance market (general & focus group), US/RoW legal and regulatory environment and alternative resolution approaches.
