Forge Talent are working on an opportunity for an ambitious and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established yet continually evolving group business. An ideal move for somebody who has (ideally) started their ACCA/ CIMA studies and is keen to develop within a high performing team.
Reporting to a manager who has developed through the business, this will be a collaborative role that will work alongside a diverse and enthusiastic team of Assistant Accountants to ensure the completion of monthly management accounts for the groups Portfolio.
Assistant Management Accountant Responsibilities
Preparation and posting of month end journals (accruals, prepayments, corrections)
Assisting the Management Accountant to produce management and annual accounts for multiple business entities.
Weekly balance sheet reconciliations
Fixed assets register reconciliation
Maintaining and updating weekly reports and trackers – providing relevant correspondence as required.
Year-end audit assistance
Processing company rebates as required
Accounting for intercompany transactions and recharges.
Supporting transactional staff with account queries as required
Assistant Management Accountant Required Experience:
Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accounts/ Senior Finance Assistant capacity with exposure to month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
You will ideally have started ACCA/ CIMA studies or be AAT qualified with relevant experience and a desire to continue further study.
A driven, motivated and proactive approach to the role and career progression plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to use formulas to manipulate data.
Team working skills with the ability to work positively and collaboratively alongside a cross functional team.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to proactively manage individual work flow, ensuring strict time deadlines are met.

This is an office-based role and applicants must live within a commutable distance of North Manchester and be able to travel to the office.
