Quantity Surveyor – Ductwork / Building Services

Location: London and surrounding areas
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in ductwork, HVAC or building services to join a growing contractor involved in commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of pre- and post-contract duties and experience managing project finances for ductwork or M&E packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project costs from initial estimates through to final accounts.

Prepare and submit valuations, variations and interim applications.

Liaise with operational teams to monitor project progress and forecast costs.

Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.

Maintain accurate records and documentation to support commercial decisions.

Ensure financial risks and opportunities are managed effectively.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a QS within the ductwork, HVAC or broader building services sector.

Excellent commercial acumen and contract knowledge (JCT/NEC).

Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
