Role Overview

They are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to support our financial operations across two key European sites. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting decision-making at all levels of the business.

This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, commercial environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver timely monthly flash reports for both European entities

Process and manage accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate month-end reporting

Complete and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs

Work closely with the Group Financial Controller on budgeting and forecasting activities

Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring completeness and compliance

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining financial processes and reporting

Collaborate with local teams to ensure alignment of financial practices and adherence to deadlines

Maintain strong internal controls across all areas of responsibility

Skills & Experience Required

AAT qualified and looking to gain (ACCA/CIMA) qualification

Proven experience in a management accounting or assistant accountant role

Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations

Excellent Excel skills and confident handling large volumes of data
