Annual Salary: £23,557 to £25,750
Location: Broxbourne (Hybrid)
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 5:15pm
Friday: 8:45am – 4:45pm
Hybrid working: 4 days from home, 1 day in the office
Join our team as a Recovery Officer, where you will manage both business and residential accounts, ensuring efficient debt recovery and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers a blend of office and remote work, ideal for those who value flexibility and are driven to support operational service delivery.
Day-to-day of the role:
Manage business and residential accounts effectively.
Liaise with businesses and residents to ensure clear communication and resolution of issues.
Conduct housekeeping reports and exercises to maintain account accuracy.
Undertake debt chasing and control recovery processes.
Action client requests promptly and accurately.
Support operational service delivery to clients by ensuring compliance with corporate HR and Health & Safety policies.
Mentor and support colleagues in their development within the organisation.
Attend court twice a month to support the court officer, ensuring legal processes are followed accurately.
Manage council tax accounts and liaise with enforcing agents to ensure compliance and resolution of issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in administration and account management.
Experience in debt management and collection.
Experience in managing council tax and dealing with enforcing agents.
Demonstrated ability to deliver first-class service to a diverse range of customers.
Skilled in gathering, organising, and managing information.
Responsive and customer-focused with a commitment to customer care.
Flexible approach to working patterns to meet business needs.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum grades of A-C /9-4 in English and Maths.
