Technical Manager

A growing business, operating in the chemicals sector, is searching for a Technical Manager in the Southampton area.

Your Role
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

Leading engineers and technicians to deliver wastewater treatment solutions, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards and developing training to keep staff up to date with technologies and best practices
Providing technical expertise in designing, optimizing, and operating wastewater systems for the marine industry, leading troubleshooting and supporting product development to improve solutions
Maintaining strong relationships with key clients by delivering responsive technical support and service
Driving business growth through sales strategies targeting the marine wastewater market, identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting tailored technical solutions to potential clients
Supporting the sales team by converting leads into clients and providing clients with technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting both before and after the sale
Overseeing technical projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including specifications, proposals and reports
Ensuring project compliance with environmental and marine regulations through audits and performance monitoring, implementing quality assurance processes across all technical operations
Clearly communicating technical information to clients, regulators, and project stakeholders

You MUST Have:
Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

Possess a degree in Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or a related field)
5+ years of experience in a technical management role
Exposure to the marine or wastewater treatment industry
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies and marine pollution regulations
Proven project and team management skills
Experience in sales and account management
Ability to build and maintain meaningful client relationships
Proficient in industry-specific software and IT tools

For the successful candidate, a salary and remuneration package of potentially up to £45,000 is on offer alongside a comprehensive peripheral offering included excellent holiday, pension and a range of other incentives and rewards.
