Quality Technologist – Customer
Annual Salary: £38,000
Location: Central London
Work Model: Hybrid (2 office days)

Join a leading global supplier in the food, beverage, and nutrition industries as a Quality Technologist within the Customer Pillar. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of the products and services, ensuring compliance and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day of the role:

Complete customer questionnaires daily using regulatory and supplier information.
Respond to technical queries from customers and suppliers concerning ingredients, quality, and food safety.
Participate in and execute projects aimed at the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Collaborate with the Key Account Management (KAM) team and support various Quality department tasks based on workload and priorities, including:

Arranging third-party laboratory analyses.
Updating and reviewing product documentation such as specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), allergens, GMO status, animal feed labels, packaging, HACCP, etc.
Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and other controlled documents.
Preparing questionnaires and statements for customers.
Conducting training sessions and presentations.
Managing third-party and customer audits/visits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality, Technical, or R&D role within the Food, Ingredients, or Supplements industry.
Strong understanding of Quality (Technical) requirements and standards in the food industry, including HACCP, BRC Food or Agents and Brokers, FAMI-QS (animal feed), Organic/BIO, Kosher, Halal, and ISO 9001.
Experience in auditing and resolving non-conformances or complaints.
IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
Experience with retail online specification systems (e.g., QADEX, Hamilton Grant) is desirable.
Essential training or understanding in food legislation and food labelling.
