Group & Peer Mentor

Are you passionate about supporting young people who are vulnerable or need that extra help? This Charity are looking for a Mentor to lead the delivery of group sessions, activities and other support. They have offices based in east and west London and need a female lead trainer on this project for women and young girls in crisis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building trust, creating structured support systems, and fostering positive change.

Salary:£30,000 -£32,000 (Pro Rata) Start Date: ASAP

35hrs a week

Your Role:

Manage training and lead on mentoring and group sessions. You will be able to develop resources and deliver a training package to Peer Mentors, including sessions on key topics such as safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, building relationships and maintaining boundaries, active listening and risk and crisis management, as well as specialist workshops focused on the challenges facing Young women and girls , including violence, abuse and exploitation and contact with the criminal justice system.
Co-design groups and workshops programme and work closely with colleagues identify opportunities for Young Women and Girls to make their voices heard and share their insights with a wider audience.
Collaborate with your direct reports and external agencies to shape outcomes

What You Need:

NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification
At least one years experience and you will have knowledge and understanding to create and manage a programme of inclusive, strengths-based, prevention and awareness-raising groups and workshops for YWG at risk ,
Excellent organisation and communication, ensuring efficient case management
Commitment to safeguarding and leading teams
