We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Fundraising Manager to join our team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is proactive, motivated, and passionate about supporting the local community.

We are a well-established local charity, founded in 1990, committed to improving lives in our community. With the generous support of local businesses and individuals, we’ve distributed over £2 million in grants to individuals, families, community groups, and small charities and have a current annual grant giving target of £100,000.
We are seeking a part-time Fundraising Manager to join our small team. This role focuses on fundraising and income generation while also supporting general administration and events. You will work closely with our Charity Manager and the Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy to meet agreed income and annual growth targets set by the Trustees
Research and identify new funding opportunities
Write compelling, tailored funding proposals, applications, and reports
Drive income through fundraising, corporate and personal membership programmes, donations, and sponsorship
Engage with local businesses and residents to grow support
Serve as a visible ambassador for the charity within the local community
Manage and develop relationships with sponsors, partners, and supporters
Plan and coordinate events, including our annual golf day, black-tie dinner, and local community initiatives
Enhance and manage the charity’s social media presence
Prepare marketing materials, newsletters, and the annual report
Attract and engage volunteers to support charity growth and effectiveness
Provide professional administrative and office support
Work closely with finance and membership teams to plan and report
Draft reports and present updates to the Board of Trustees
Collaborate with the Charity Manager as needed and cover during leave periods
Candidate Qualities and Experience
Proven ability to generate income through fundraising or sales
Experience in fundraising, customer service, or relationship management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Event planning, marketing, and PR experience
Good IT skills (MS Office, social media platforms, CRM systems)
Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail
Excellent written skills for reports and communication
Administrative experience essential
Hours of work: Typically, Monday – Friday / 20-25 hours per week (school friendly hours)
Salary: Starting from £28,000 pro rata
